Deaf Education, Empowerment, And Employment (Deaf-E3)

“Fewer than 40% of Nigeria’s deaf children are enrolled into primary school, and even fewer are allowed to continue into secondary education”
On International Day of Sign Languages (September 23) during the International Week of Deaf People, the U.S. government and other partners launched a new 3-year, $2.05 million activity – “Strengthening Deaf Education, Empowerment, and Employment (Deaf-E3)” to empower deaf, hard of hearing, and deafblind children and youth through education, employment, and life opportunities in Nigeria.
